HAVE YOU BEEN INJURED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT?
Get a lawyer on your side.
Before you talk to ICBC, make sure you talk to a lawyer. If ICBC or another insurance company has made an offer to settle a claim immediately following an accident, this could be far less than you deserve. We’re on your side. Contact one of our lawyers for a free consultation.
We only act for injured people and never act for ICBC or other insurance companies. We have the experience and proven track record to get you the compensation to which you are entitled.
We will explain to you what you are entitled to claim for under the law relating to personal injury. We will outline what steps we need to take in order to advance your claim. We have offices in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, Richmond and North Vancouver to serve you.
At Wirsig Matheos, our lawyers can do the following:
- Gather the medical and non-medical evidence necessary to prove your claim: The injured party has the burden of proving the losses suffered at the hands of the party that caused the harm. ICBC (or any other personal injury insurance company) is not there to help you prove your case. We are motivated to gather the evidence that will prove your case.
- Revoke authorizations you may have signed with the adjuster: We revoke these authorizations in order to achieve a higher level of control over the flow of information to the insurance company.
- Evaluate your claim: Once we have gathered the necessary information, we can provide our professional opinion as to the value of your ICBC or personal injury claim. There are many factors to be considered and weighed in assessing a claim. Examples of some of the factors include, the type and severity of the physical and/or emotional injury, whether the injury rendered you totally or partially disabled, whether you have been left with a permanent partial or total disability, time missed from work, the frequency and type of medical treatments, and the cost of that treatment. We examine your personal circumstances.
- Settle or go to trial: Most cases settle before trial. However, if the insurance company does not come to a fair settlement, we can take them to court.
